Academy High School Reliefs
Academy High School hides a quiet gallery in plain sight — a series of ornate reliefs set into its exterior walls, each one a little window into a world we don’t fully know yet. These carved scenes feel both historic and strangely dreamlike: figures frozen mid‑task, framed by twisting columns and decorative flourishes that hint at a story just out of reach. We’ve begun photographing them one by one, but information about their origins has been surprisingly elusive. If you recognize these pieces, know who created them, or remember when they were installed, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us a line and help us unravel another thread in Erie’s architectural folklore.
