They’re watching. Perched on corners, swimming through sidewalks, frozen mid-leap or mid-swim—Erie’s amphibious and aquatic sentinels are everywhere, if you know how to look. Creatures is Weird Erie’s tribute to the city’s delightfully odd public art programs, GoFish! and LeapFrog!, which have scattered dozens of painted fish and frog statues across the landscape like a whimsical scavenger hunt. We’ve been tracking them down, one by one, documenting their strange beauty and peculiar placements. New sightings are always surfacing… keep your eyes peeled.
